TIF CIO Sanjar Usmanov Joins WERISE Fintech Jury in Tashkent

On 12 February 2026, Mr. Sanjar Usmanov, Chief Investment Officer of the Turkic Investment Fund (TIF), participated as a panelist and jury member at the FinTech acceleration program, WERISE: Pioneers of Digital Finance, held in Tashkent.
The event was organized by the Fintech Association of Uzbekistan in partnership with KPMG Türkiye, bringing together high-growth startups from across the Turkic region operating in FinTech, artificial intelligence, and related digital sectors.
During the first part of the program, TIF CIO Usmanov joined a high-level panel discussion focused on the development of the FinTech ecosystem in the region. In his remarks, he highlighted the role of TIF in supporting the scaling of innovative financial technology companies. He addressed key challenges faced by startups, including access to finance, regulatory constraints, and market expansion barriers, and shared TIF’s perspective on how these obstacles can be addressed through targeted investment and strategic partnerships.
In the afternoon session, Mr. Usmanov served as a jury member during the startup pitching segment, where emerging companies presented their business models, technologies, and growth strategies to an international panel of experts and investors.
Through its active participation in initiatives such as WERISE, TIF continues to strengthen its engagement with the regional innovation ecosystem.
