President of TIF welcomed President of Turkic Academy

The President of Turkic Investment Fund H.E. Baghdad Amreyev warmly welcomed the President of the Turkic Academy, Mr. Shahin Mustafayev, who visited the TIF Headquarters in Istanbul on January 24.

During the meeting, that was attended also by General Director of TIF Ramil Babayev and Special Advisor of President of TIF Erhan Turbedur, parties discussed the ongoing cooperation process in the Turkic World as well as potential areas of collaboration between the Turkic Academy and TIF.

B. Amreyev expressed the Fund’s readiness to establish a constructive relationship with the Turkic Academy. He congratulated Mr. Mustafayev on successfully preparing and organizing works on the Common Turkic Alphabet, which the Turkic World Common Alphabet Commission adopted last year in Baku.

TIF President also expressed satisfaction with the discovery of a Göktürk-era monument complex, most likely built in honor of Ilterish Kutlug Kagan (682-692), the founder of the Second Turkic Khaganate, while acknowledging the significant efforts of the Turkic Academy in this archaeological success.

Mr. Shahin Mustafayev underscored the importance of TIF as a key financial institution that will support the economic integration of Turkic countries. He expressed the Turkic Academy’s commitment to building project-based working relations with TIF. Mr. Mustafayev also shared information about the sectoral reports prepared by the Academy, particularly the upcoming “Report on Turkic Economies 2024: Strengthening Transport and Energy Connectivity between Turkic States.” This report will be presented soon in collaboration with the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye, the Union of Turkic Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and with the support of the Organization of Turkic States.

The two parties agreed to collaborate on future editions of the “Report on Turkic Economies” and to explore joint projects that will further the economic integration of the Turkic world.
