On 20 February 2026, General Director of the Turkic Investment Fund (TIF) participated in the 16th Meeting of the Working Group on Economic Cooperation of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Turkistan, Kazakhstan. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Merey Mukazhan, Deputy Secretary General of the OTS, and brought together senior representatives and ministerial-level officials from the Member States, including delegations from the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Türkiye, and the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The meeting addressed key agenda items aimed at strengthening regional economic integration, including follow-up on the Digital Economy Partnership Agreement, the finalization of strategic trade documents, and consultations on multilateral cooperation opportunities. During the session, Ramil Babayev delivered a presentation on TIF, outlining its governance framework, institutional structure, and forthcoming operational steps.
Consultations were held on potential projects and multilateral cooperation opportunities in the field of green economy, in follow-up to the Baku Ministerial Declaration on the Establishment of the OTS Partnership for Climate, Innovation, Green Economy and Trade. In this context, the General Director of TIF proposed that the relevant project lists and priority initiatives be formalized as an action point and subsequently shared with the Fund. This would enable TIF to assess potential areas for financial support, co-financing structures, and investor mobilization opportunities in alignment with its mandate.
TIF remains committed to translating strategic dialogue into tangible, investment-ready initiatives and supporting the implementation of priority regional projects across the Turkic region.
