TIF Delegation Held a Meeting with Japan International Cooperation Agency Türkiye Office

On 25 February 2026, General Director of the Turkic Investment Fund (TIF), Mr. Ramil Babayev had a meeting with the Chief Representative of Türkiye Office of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Mr. Daisuke Watanabe, at the JICA Ankara Office.

The TIF General Director was accompanied by Ms. Betül Sarıkaya, Chief Financial Officer; Mr. Sanjar Usmanov, Chief Investment Officer; and Mr. M. Esat Mert, International Relations, Capital Mobilization and Treasury Director. JICA was also represented by Mr. Shusaku Kawai, Senior Representative; Mr. Danjiro Okada, Representative; and Mr. Ali Bekin, Chief Program Officer.

Exchanges focused on exploring avenues for cooperation in both financial and technical areas. Discussions covered JICA’s ongoing activities in Türkiye, including support for earthquake reconstruction, municipal financing, and SME development through on-lending mechanisms. The parties also exchanged views on private sector financing and the importance of additionality in addressing market gaps.

Both institutions expressed their willingness to continue dialogue and identify practical areas of partnership in support of sustainable development objectives.
