TIF Delegation Held a Meeting with World Bank Group Türkiye Country Unit

On 25 February 2026, General Director of the Turkic Investment Fund (TIF), Mr. Ramil Babayev had a meeting with the Director of Türkiye Country Unit of World Bank Group (WBG), Mr. Humberto Lopez, at the WBG Ankara Office.

The TIF General Director was accompanied by Ms. Betül Sarıkaya, Chief Financial Officer; Mr. Sanjar Usmanov, Chief Investment Officer; and Mr. M. Esat Mert, International Relations, Capital Mobilization and Treasury Director. The WBG was also represented by Mr. Korhan Yazgan, Operations Officer, and Mr. Tevfik Özgür Türkeri, Operations Officer.

Discussions focused on potential areas of co-financing and institutional cooperation. The parties exchanged views on upcoming operational priorities and explored opportunities for collaboration in project and corporate finance, particularly in areas requiring longer-term maturities.

TIF welcomed the openness to further technical-level engagements between respective teams in the areas that can be of an interest. The meeting concluded with an understanding to maintain close dialogue and explore concrete cooperation opportunities.
