On 17 February 2026, Mrs. Betül Sarıkaya, Chief Financial Officer of the Turkic Investment Fund (TIF), participated as a speaker at the Sustainability and Finance Forum 2026, held at the Istanbul Financial Center.

The event was organized by the UK Department for Business and Trade, supported by UK Export Finance and brought together government officials, multilateral development institutions, financial institutions and private sector leaders to discuss regional cooperation on sustainable finance and energy transition.

TIF took part in the panel discussions, Regional Trends and Dynamics of Sustainable Finance and Energy, which focused on the evolving policy landscape, investment needs and opportunities across Central Asia, Türkiye and the wider region.

In her remarks, Mrs. Sarıkaya highlighted the growing momentum in sustainable finance and the shift from long-term strategies toward implementation. She emphasized that many countries in the region have strengthened climate and energy strategies and are increasingly focusing on translating these commitments into investment pipelines.

During the discussion, Mrs. Sarikaya emphasized that the energy transition is increasingly becoming regional rather than purely national. She highlighted the growing importance of cross-border cooperation, shared infrastructure and coordinated planning, noting that regional institutions can play a key role in strengthening collaboration.

TIF CFO Sarıkaya also underscored the importance of stronger collaboration between multilateral development institutions and private sector to mobilize capital. In this context, the discussion reflected the growing role of development institutions as catalysts for investment. She noted that TIF aims to work closely with development partners and financial institutions to help strengthen regional sustainable finance ecosystems.

The panel also featured speakers representing Investment and Finance Office of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye, Azerbaijan Renewable Energy Agency, City of London Corporation and HMG, and UK Export Finance.

Through its participation in the Forum, TIF continues to deepen engagement with partners and contribute to regional dialogue on sustainable finance, energy transition and long-term economic cooperation.
