TIF President Participated in High-Level Turkic Cooperation Events in Astana

On 13 May 2026, H.E. Baghdad Amreyev, President of the Turkic Investment Fund (TIF), participated in the Business Forum organized in Astana by the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Atameken” and the Joint Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry( TCCI) and Kazakhstan, under the theme “Economic Integration and Cooperation of OTS Countries: New Opportunities in Industry, Agriculture, Logistics and Digitalization.”

The forum took place ahead of the Informal Summit of the Organization of Turkic States in Turkistan, scheduled for 15 May 2026 and brought together representatives of governments, heads of chambers of commerce and industry of Turkic countries, financial institutions, international organizations, investment structures and business communities from across the Turkic world.

Participants discussed ways to expand business cooperation, strengthen production and transport links, support digital partnerships, and attract investment across the Turkic region. The forum also gave attention to TIF’s role as a financial mechanism for joint projects among Turkic countries.

Opening the forum, Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy, H.E. Serik Zhumangarin, emphasized the need to realization of joint projects, new production facilities, technological partnerships and mutual investments.

President of TIF, H.E. Baghdad Amreyev in his address during the plenary session emphasized that the Fund was created to finance projects that connect Member State economies. He called on business representatives to bring forward cross-border initiatives that link markets, supply chains and production capacity across TIF Member States. B. Amreyev noted that TIF will focus on projects with reliable partners, credible business plans and measurable regional impact, adding that the Fund aims to mobilize wider co-financing with international partners where its participation can bring added value.

During the Business Forum, on behalf of TIF, H.E. Amreyev and President of National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Atameken,” signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the setting a framework for closer cooperation between the two institutions.
