TIF President Met with Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister

On 16 June 2026, H.E. Baghdad Amreyev, President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Turkic Investment Fund (TIF, the Fund), held a meeting with H.E. Jeyhun Bayramov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, in Baku.

The President of TIF, was accompanied by the Fund’s delegation included Mr. Ramil Babayev, General Director; Ms. Betül Sarıkaya, Chief Financial Officer; Mr. Sanjar Usmanov, Chief Investment Officer; and Mr. Zsolt Csanádi, Chief Legal and Operations Officer.

H.E. Baghdad Amreyev expressed his appreciation for Azerbaijan’s continuous support to the Fund from the very beginning. He briefed Minister Bayramov on TIF’s move toward financing operations and its growing contacts with international development partners. The President of TIF added that the Fund would focus in its activities on the contribution to further integration of the Turkic economies.

B. Amreyev said TIF would closely coordinate its activities with Azerbaijan government, work with its national institutions, banks, and companies as it develops its project pipeline.

H.E. Jeyhun Bayramov welcomed the progress made by the Fund and expressed Azerbaijan’s continued support for its work. He noted that TIF can help deepen economic cooperation among Turkic countries and with the rest of the world specially in the connectivity and energy sectors and shared his views in this regard.

H.E.Azerbaijan Minister said that his Ministry stands ready to assist the Fund in its communications with relevant national institutions of Azerbaijan.

Mr. Ramil Babayev, General Director of TIF, briefed the Minister on the Fund’s recent institutional and operational progress. He noted that TIF is advancing its work with Member States and national institutions in line with its mandate.

The sides agreed to stay in working contact as TIF expands its work and deepens cooperation with Member States, their national institutions, and international partners.
