TIF President Met TRACECA Secretary General in Istanbul

On the sidelines of the Global Transport Connectivity Forum, H.E. Baghdad Amreyev, President of the Turkic Investment Fund (TIF), met with H.E. Asset Assavbayev, Secretary General of the Permanent Secretariat Intergovernmental Commission Transport Corridor Europe–Caucasus–Asia (PS IGC TRACECA), on 28 June 2025 in Istanbul.

The meeting focused on identifying possible modalities for cooperation to align efforts in supporting regional transport connectivity.

President of TIF Baghdad Amreyev shared with Secretary General of TRACECA on TIF’s policy and it’s ongoing activities. He outlined the Fund’s interest in co-financing regional projects with international financial institutions and other stakeholders. He emphasized TIF’s readiness to engage in efforts that enhance cross-border connectivity in the Turkic world.

PS IGC TRACECA Secretary General Asset Assavbayev informed the President of TIF on TRACECA’s current projects and engagement with international partners. He expressed readiness for collaboration with TIF and stated that such engagement would add value to regional connectivity and integration goals.

The two sides agreed to maintain dialogue and explore areas of practical cooperation.
