TIF President Meets with President of the OPEC Fund in Baku
On 18 June 2026, H.E. Baghdad Amreyev, President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Turkic Investment Fund (TIF), met with H.E. Dr. Abdulhamid Alkhalifa, President of the OPEC Fund for International Development, in Baku. The meeting took place during the 2026 Annual Meetings of the Islamic Development Bank Group, hosted by the Government of Azerbaijan.
The two Presidents discussed how TIF and the OPEC Fund can build a practical partnership in areas of shared interest, including connectivity, private sector development, investment, and support for projects in the TIF Member States.
H.E. Baghdad Amreyev and H.E. Dr. Abdulhamid Alkhalifa expressed appreciation for the continued dialogue between TIF and the OPEC Fund and confirmed their readiness to explore practical ways to strengthen cooperation.
The meeting also touched upon the TIF President’s upcoming participation in the OPEC Fund’s 50th Anniversary and Development Forum in Vienna. Both sides agreed to continue discussions and work toward a cooperation agreement.
