TIF President Holds Meeting with the First Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan

The President and Chairman of Board of Directors of the Turkic Investment Fund (TIF), H.E. Baghdad Amreyev, met with Mr. Elnur Aliyev, First Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the sidelines of European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Annual Meetings in Riga, Latvia.

The TIF delegation included Mr. Ramil Babayev, General Director of TIF; Ms. Betül Sarıkaya, Chief Financial Officer; Mr. Sanjar Usmanov, Chief Investment Officer; and Mr. Mehmet Esat Mert, Director of International Relations, Capital Mobilization and Treasury at TIF. Mr. Aliyev was accompanied by Mr. Elnur Sultanov; the Ambassador of the Republic of the Azerbaijan to Latvia and the members of the Ministry’s senior management team.

H.E. Baghdad Amreyev provided an update on TIF’s institutional and operational progress, including developments in its project pipeline and strategic initiatives. He also expressed appreciation for the continued support extended by the Republic of Azerbaijan towards TIF’s development and growth.

Mr. Aliyev welcomed the progress achieved by TIF and emphasized the importance of maintaining close coordination between the relevant authorities and TIF to support its effective development. Discussions also covered procedural considerations related to the implementation of TIF’s privileges and immunities within the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The meeting was held in a constructive and positive atmosphere, and the sides agreed to continue engagement at the technical level to support effective coordination on the matters discussed.
