TIF Participated in the Türkiye Banks Association’s 36th Traditional Reception in Bangkok

Mr. Ramil Babayev, General Director of the Turkic Investment Fund (TIF), and Mr. Mehmet Esat Mert, Acting Chief Financial Officer, participated in the 36th Traditional Reception of the Banks Association of Türkiye (TBB), held in Bangkok on the sidelines of the 2026 IMF and World Bank Group Annual Meetings.

The reception brought together senior public officials, representatives of international financial institutions and banking sector executives from Türkiye and other countries, providing a valuable platform for networking and dialogue on potential areas of cooperation.

During the reception, TIF representatives held interactions with the Deputy Minister of Ministry of Treasury and Finance Mr. Osman Çelik, the Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye Mr. Fatih Karahan, the President of Black Sea Trade and Development Bank Mr. Serhat Köksal, the Director General for Foreign Economic Relations at the Republic of Türkiye's Ministry of Treasury and Finance Mr. Kerem Dönmez, the CEO at Development and Investment Bank of Türkiye, the Secretary General of the Banks Association of Türkiye Mr. Nurullah Bakır, the Deputy Director of Japan Bank for International Cooperation Mr. Asano Ken, and several other representatives from private sector entities.

TIF’s participation provided an opportunity to further strengthen relationships with financial sector partners and exchange views on prospective cooperation, investment and financing opportunities in Türkiye and across TIF’s Member Countries.
