Baghdad Amreyev, accompanied by the General Director of TIF, Mr. Ramil Babayev, took part in the meeting of the General Assembly of the Union of Turkic Chambers of Commerce and Industry (TCCI), held at the Ybl Villa, premises of the Representation Office of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Hungary.

The meeting was attended by prominent figures including H.E. Ambassador Katalin Bihari, Deputy State Secretary of the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade; Mr. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, Honorary President of TCCI and President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB); Mr. Mammad Musayev, President of TCCI and of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan; Mr. Eleg Nagy, President of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Mr. Temir Sariyev, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic; Mr. Davron Vakhabov, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce of Uzbekistan; Mr. Kanat Alin, Advisor to the Chairman of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan “Atameken”; Mr. Mergen Gurdow, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan; and Mr. Balázs Hendrich, Executive Director of the OTS Representation Office in Hungary, as well as ambassadors of the OTS member states.

A key outcome of the session was the decision to admit the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry as a Board Member of TCCI, marking a significant step in strengthening economic ties between Hungary and the Turkic world.

President of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Eleg Nagy, emphasized that cooperation with the Turkic states is based on shared heritage and common ambitions, noting that full membership in the TCCI will enable Hungary to build active business relations and expand exports—particularly in sectors such as healthcare, food industry, water management, transport, and business services—while also advancing the digital economy and knowledge-based development.

Mr. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, Honorary President of TCCI and President of TOBB, emphasized the need to boost trade and investment among Turkic states and strengthen transport and energy connectivity. He called for decisive action to support startup ecosystems and reform entrepreneurship education to prepare the next generation of Turkic business leaders.

Mr. Mammad Musayev highlighted the growing role of the Turkic world as an entity in international economic affairs. He noted that establishing TCCI and TIF marks a turning point in advancing Turkic economic integration. He expressed confidence that closer cooperation between TCCI and TIF will help translate common goals into concrete business projects and long-term economic partnerships across Turkic states.

Other heads of national chambers of commerce and industry shared their perspectives on how Turkic states can navigate global economic shifts and make the most of regional opportunities. They offered concrete ideas for practical cooperation in different sectors, such as green energy, digital technologies, agriculture, transport, and vocational training.

TIF President Baghdad Amreyev emphasized that the TCCI unites the voices of Turkic business communities and plays a vital role in fostering practical partnerships. He welcomed the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry as a valuable addition to the TCCI family, noting that Hungary is an essential bridge between the Turkic world and Europe. He expressed confidence in the many opportunities for joint projects between Hungarian and Turkic investors.

Amreyev informed participants about the TIF’s key areas of focus. He stated that TIF is committed to financing productive investments, supporting MSMEs, advancing regional integration, and driving strategic transformation toward green energy and digitalization.

He also highlighted the MoU signed earlier this year between TIF and TCCI, underscoring that it reflects a shared commitment to more effective cooperation. According to him, the MoU allows the Fund to stay closely aligned with the real needs of enterprises across the Turkic region. He reaffirmed TIF’s dedication to a strong partnership with TCCI.
