TIF General Director Met with the Deputy Chief of Service of State Tax Service of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan

The leadership of the Turkic Investment Fund (TIF), led by General Director Mr. Ramil Babayev, held a meeting with Ms. Samira Musayeva, the Deputy Chief of Service of State Tax Service of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to discuss matters related to TIF’s operations and institutional framework.

The TIF delegation was accompanied by Ms. Betül Sarıkaya, Chief Financial Officer; Mr. Zsolt Csanádi, Chief Legal and Operation Officer; Mr. Mehmet Esat Mert, Director of International Relations, Capital Mobilization and Treasury and Mr. Bolat Miyatov, General Legal Counsel. Ms. Musayeva was accompanied by Mr. Nicat Imanov, Head of Tax Policy Department and Mr. Elkin Memmedov, Head of International Taxation Department. 

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on TIF’s mandate and its role in promoting economic cooperation and regional integration across its member countries. Ms. Musayeva welcomed TIF’s objectives and acknowledged the importance of initiatives that support regional connectivity and investment across Turkic states.

The discussions also covered matters related to the implementation of the tax privileges and exemptions applicable to TIF under its founding framework. The parties reviewed potential approaches to facilitate clarity regarding the application of such provisions in interactions with relevant stakeholders and agreed to maintain close coordination going forward.
