TIF General Director Met with SOCAR Green General Director

On 18 June 2026, during the Annual Meetings of the Islamic Development Bank Group, the leadership of the Turkic Investment Fund (TIF), led by General Director Mr. Ramil Babayev, held a meeting with Mr. Elmir Musayev, General Director of the SOCAR Green.

The TIF delegation was accompanied by Ms. Betül Sarıkaya, Chief Financial Officer; Mr. Sanjar Usmanov, Chief Investment Officer; Mr. Mehmet Esat Mert, Director of International Relations, Capital Mobilization and Treasury; and Ms. Dilara Ismayilova, International Relations and Capital Mobilization Senior Associate. The SOCAR Green delegation included Mr. Rza Naghiyev, Investments and Project Development Director.

Mr. Babayev highlighted TIF’s commitment to supporting sustainable infrastructure and renewable energy projects through various financing and investment instruments that generate long-term economic value. He emphasized the growing importance of renewable energy and climate-related infrastructure in the development agendas of TIF Member States and noted TIF’s interest in working with experienced partners to identify commercially viable and impactful opportunities.

Mr. Musayev provided an overview of their priorities, and ongoing activities and shared insights into SOCAR Green’s renewable energy portfolio and extensive collaboration with international financial institutions to advance Azerbaijan’s green energy agenda. He highlighted the importance of mobilizing long-term capital for sustainable infrastructure and green energy investments.

Discussions also focused on opportunities to support the development of green projects across TIF Member States. The meeting was held in a constructive and forward-looking atmosphere. The parties agreed to maintain dialogue to explore mutually beneficial opportunities.
