TIF General Director Meets with Chairman of the Management Board of the Hungarian-Kyrgyz Development Fund
A delegation of the Turkic Investment Fund (TIF), led by General Director Mr. Ramil A. Babayev, held a working meeting with the leadership of the Hungarian-Kyrgyz Development Fund (HKDF) in Bishkek.
Established by Hungary and the Kyrgyz Republic, both member states of TIF, HKDF serves as an important institution supporting bilateral economic cooperation and investment. The meeting reflected the shared commitment of both institutions to strengthening regional connectivity and fostering sustainable economic development across the Turkic region.
The TIF delegation included Mr. Sanjar Usmanov, Chief Investment Officer; Mr. Shabdan Tagaev, Debt Finance Manager; Mr. Mirlan Shatmanov, Risk Manager; and Mr. Farkhad Ibraev, Operations and Support Function Coordinator.
The HKDF delegation was headed by Mr. Ulan Sarbanov, Chairman of the Management Board, and included Deputy Chairman Mr. Kanat Kurmanov, Management Board Member Ms. Nagira Sharsheeva, and lending and investment specialists Ms. Meerim Chynybekova and Mr. Bakhtiyar Sultanov.
During the meeting, TIF presented its regional investment mandate, financing instruments, and project appraisal approach, while HKDF shared an overview of its financing framework, active portfolio, and pipeline of prospective projects. The discussions focused on identifying practical opportunities for cooperation, including the exchange of project information, alignment of investment priorities, and potential co-financing initiatives.
Recognizing HKDF's unique position as a joint institution of two TIF member states, the parties also explored ways to strengthen institutional cooperation that could facilitate cross-border investment, enhance knowledge sharing, and contribute to deeper economic integration among TIF member states.
The meeting concluded with both institutions reaffirming their intention to maintain close dialogue and develop concrete areas of collaboration, reflecting their shared commitment to promoting regional investment, sustainable growth, and stronger economic partnerships across the Turkic world.
