TIF Delegation Had Bilateral Meetings During Astana Finance Days

During 4-5 September 2025, the delegation of senior professionals of the Turkic Investment Fund (TIF) including Sanjar Usmanov, Chief Investment Officer; Betül Sarıkaya; Chief Financial Officer; and Esat Mert, International Relations and Capital Mobilization Director, participated in Astana Finance Days 2025 hosted by the Astana International Finance Center (AIFC) which has the role of serving as the central entity entrusted with providing administrative support to the AIFC’s bodies, participants, and employees, while simultaneously formulating the center’s development strategy and drafting acts unrelated to financial service regulation.

TIF delegation participated in several panels and held meetings with the representatives of international and national development finance and investments institutions, including Hüseyin Özhan, Managing Director for Central Asia and Mongolia and Askar Namazbayev, Deputy Country Head for Kazakhstan of European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Giacomo Giannetto - Team Leader of Finance Sector of Asian Development Bank (ADB); Evgenia Klochkova, Head of Sustainability; and Oleg Nikolaev, Director of the Energy and Natural Resources Directorate of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB).

The delegation also had bilateral meetings with Gabbas Erzhanov, Chief Investment Officer, Deputy CEO of Qazaqstan Investment Corporation (QIC); Zhuldyz Zharkenova, Director and Dinara Asambayeva, Senior Executive Officer of Halyk Finance as well as Manas Gizhduaniyev, CEO of Green Finance Centre (GFC). The parties exchanged views on investment opportunities and emerging trends in capital markets in Kazakhstan and in the wider Central Asia region.
