President of TIF Participated in Türkiye-Kazakhstan Strategic Cooperation Meeting

On 14 May 2026, H.E. Baghdad Amreyev, President of the Turkic Investment Fund (TIF), attended the Sixth Meeting of the Türkiye-Kazakhstan High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council in Astana, held with the participation of H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Türkiye, and H.E. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The meeting reviewed cooperation across trade, transport, energy, health, mining, culture, education, technology, and the defense industry.

In his remarks, H.E. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev underlined Kazakhstan’s interest in wider economic cooperation with Türkiye. He noted that nearly 3,800 enterprises with Turkish capital operate in Kazakhstan and called for deeper industrial cooperation, stronger transport and logistics links, and new projects in agriculture, pharmaceuticals, digitalization and innovation. He also pointed to the Astana International Financial Centre as a platform for Turkish investors and business partners.

H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan emphasized the steady development of Türkiye-Kazakhstan relations and the shared interest in expanding cooperation in different sectors. He noted Türkiye’s interest in transporting larger volumes of Kazakh oil to world markets through Türkiye and drew attention to the growing relevance of the Trans-Caspian East-West Middle Corridor for both trade and energy connectivity.

On the margins of the Türkiye-Kazakhstan Strategic Cooperation Meeting, H.E. Baghdad Amreyev held a series of bilateral meetings with Kazakh and Turkish business representatives to discuss potential for cooperation in trade, investment, and cross-border projects.
