Held under the auspices of H.E. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, the Forum brought together a wide range of leaders, ministers, diplomats, academics, business representatives, media professionals, and civil society actors.
During the opening ceremony, President Erdoğan described ADF as a platform for ideas and called for dialogue, solidarity, and stronger international cooperation amid growing instability. President of Kazakhstan H.E. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also warned of rising instability, while stressing the continued importance of the UN and the need for serious reform, especially in the Security Council, alongside stronger preventive diplomacy.
H.E. Baghdad Amreyev took part in the panel “Investment Across Continents,” moderated by Mr. A. Amreyev focused on the Middle Corridor and said that it should be seen as more than a transport route and more than an alternative route. He argued that its real value lies in turning transit into broader economic activity across the region through investment, services, and stronger connectivity. He also stressed that the the ongoing military conflicts going around the region - the war on Ukraine and the current Hormuz crisis proved once again the significance of further activating the Middle corridor. He outlined TIF’s role in supporting connectivity ind infrastructure projects among its Member States.
The panel concluded with a question-and-answer session, during which B. Amreyev addressed questions from the audience on connectivity and investment opportunities in the Turkic world.
