Meeting of the Board of Directors of the Turkic Investment Fund Held in Istanbul

H.E. Baghdad Amreyev, President of the Turkic Investment Fund (TIF) and Chairman of the Board of Directors, convened the 14th Meeting of the TIF Board of Directors, held in Istanbul on 18 September 2026.

The meeting was attended by the following Members of the Board of Directors of TIF: Mr. Ulvi Mansurov, Director for Azerbaijan; Mr. Gábor Matula, Director for Hungary; Mr. Marat Yelibayev, Director for Kazakhstan; Mr. Mederbek Tumanov, Director for the Kyrgyz Republic; Mr. Omurbek Kenzhebayev, Alternate Director for the Kyrgyz Republic; Mr. Kerem Dönmez, Director for Türkiye; Mr. Tevfik Kalkan, Alternate Director for Türkiye; and Mr. Ulugbek Mukhtarov, Alternate Director for Uzbekistan.

The meeting was also attended by Mr. Ramil Babayev, General Director of TIF, together with members of the Fund’s Executive Management and staff.

In his speech , H.E. Baghdad Amreyev noted that TIF has now started its financing operations and stressed the importance of keeping the Fund’s activities focused on the development priorities of its Member States and on projects that strengthen economic cooperation among the Turkic countries.

Mr. Ramil Babayev, General Director of TIF, briefed the Board on the Fund’s recent activities, financing operations, and projects under development, and presented the key issues and documents on the agenda.

During the meeting, the Board reviewed the Fund’s 2025 Annual Report, including the audited financial statements, and considered the Medium-Term Funding and Borrowing Strategy. The Directors also discussed the Fund’s financing activities and project pipeline, as well as a number of institutional matters and preparations for the Third Meeting of the Board of Governors.

The Board adopted a number of key decisions aimed at advancing the Fund’s institutional development, approved the further steps to support the expansion of TIF’s financing operations and endorsed the draft agenda for the forthcoming Board of Governors meeting.
