Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Qatar Hosted Lunch for TIF Delegation

H.E. Arman Issagaliyev, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the State of Qatar, hosted on 22 January 2026 a lunch in Doha for a Turkic Investment Fund (TIF) delegation headed by its President, H.E. Baghdad Amreyev, accompanied by Mr. Ramil Babayev, General Director of TIF, Mr. Sanjar Usmanov, Chief Investment Officer, and Mr. Zsolt Csanadi, Chief Legal and Operations Officer. H.E. M. Mustafa Göksu, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to the State of Qatar, also attended the lunch.

Ambassador Arman Issagaliyev warmly welcomed the TIF delegation and highlighted the growing economic ties between Kazakhstan and Qatar, alongside broader growth in Qatar’s engagement with Turkic economies. He proposed TIF to build working relationships with relevant Qatari institutions and described Qatar as a strong partner for project-oriented cooperation.

H.E. Baghdad Amreyev expressed the interest of TIF in building a working relationship with Qatari counterparts, especially where Qatar’s financial and development institutions can participate in joint projects across Turkic economies.

Ambassador Göksu said closer economic links between Turkic economies and Gulf partners can support trade and investment where interests overlap. He also encouraged a steady dialogue focused on concrete projects.

Discussions focused also on the investment opportunities across the Turkic economies and on how Gulf partners might get engaged in the cooperation process.

The visit helped clarify practical options for future consideration between TIF and relevant Qatari institutions.
