JOB DESCRIPTION AND OBLIGATIONS SUMMARY
The Turkic Investment Fund (TIF / Fund) aims to become a catalyst for socio-economic development and integration of the Turkic countries, and a flagship organization for the promotion of sustainability, intra-regional trade and connectivity via investments across various sectors with a focus on debt financing, equity investments, and other structured/hybrid financial instruments.
The International Relations and Capital Mobilization Senior Associate supports the Fund’s efforts to strengthen relationships with international financial institutions (IFIs) and investors, expand strategic partnerships and mobilize capital aligned with the Fund’s mandate. The role contributes to investor outreach and communications, development of fundraising tools, and preparation of transaction and governance documentation, while supporting oversight of the Fund’s financing activities and capital markets interfaces.
The International Relations and Capital Mobilization Senior Associate works closely with other internal and external departments to support the Fund’s mission. Given the Fund’s lean structure, the role spans responsibilities end-to-end, from representing the institution in high-level bilateral meetings with external partners to ensuring the logistical and organizational needs of the department are effectively managed.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Partnerships
- Identify and pursue opportunities for strategic partnerships and investments and for co-financing with IFIs and DFIs.
- Support negotiations of cooperation frameworks and partnership agreements to ensure alignment with institutional objectives and policies.
- Coordinate with legal team for partnership due diligence and approvals.
- Professionally represent the Fund in bilateral meetings and technical discussions with external stakeholders, ensuring high-quality engagement.
2. Investor Relations and Capital Mobilization
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective investors: coordinate outreach, meetings, and follow-ups.
- Support investor communications, including FAQs, presentations, roadshow materials, and periodic updates.
- Ensure consistency of key messages across channels and maintain accurate contact databases and interaction logs.
- Support early-stage capital mobilization efforts by engaging with institutional investors, drawing on practices from peer MDBs.
- Contributing to the design and implementation of the Fund’s capital-raising efforts, targeting states, private & institutional investors, and IFIs/DFIs.
3. Market Intelligence and Strategy
- Monitor global and regional market developments, investor sentiment, and macro/sectoral trends to inform capital-raising strategy and timing.
- Produce concise briefing notes and analytics for Executive Management on relevant transactions, structures, economic/trade statistics and peer benchmarks.
- Produce analysis, lessons learned, and recommendations to continuously improve engagement approaches.
- Contribute inputs to the development of country strategies, ensuring capital mobilization efforts support Fund’s priorities.
4. Documentation, Governance and Process Enablement
- Assist in preparing and updating procedures, internal notes, memos, and submissions for review.
- Support coordination across Legal, Treasury, Risk, and Operations to ensure complete and compliant documentation and records.
5. Departmental and Logistical Support
- Coordinate scheduling, briefing materials, and follow-up actions for bilateral meetings, missions, and conferences related to international relations and capital mobilization.
- Prepare agendas, minutes, and background/meeting notes for internal and external meetings.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of departmental outputs, investor interactions, and partnership materials.
- Liaise with internal units (e.g., Finance and Operations) to facilitate smooth execution of departmental activities and external events.
EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, International Relations, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- Progress toward master's degree or CFA (or equivalent) is an asset.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in capital raising, international relations, investor relations, or a closely related role.
- Experience within an investment organization, multilateral/international institutions, or public institutions is preferred.
