The Turkic world is becoming a strategic economic corridor, said Baghdad Amreyev, President of the Turkic Investment Fund (TIF), at the "Turkic Investment Fund and the Union of Turkic Chambers of Commerce and Industry (TCCI): Information Session and B2B for Business Leaders" event held in Baku, APA-Economics reports.
He underlined that 15 years after the establishment of the Organization of Turkic States, the Turkic world has become even more united, relations between countries have strengthened, and business communities have begun to cooperate more closely:
"All political, intergovernmental and institutional efforts are aimed at a single goal - the integration of the Turkic world. This integration is based not only on economic, but also on cultural, historical, and political cooperation. The business community plays an important role in this process. Governments make decisions, organizations facilitate this process, institutions work to achieve this goal, but it is the business community that turns all these efforts into reality. As a result of our 15 years of collective work to unite the Turkic world, our economies are no longer on the sidelines of global markets. The Turkic world, stretching between Anatolia and Central Asia, is becoming a strategic economic corridor connecting the East and the West. As a new geopolitical reality, the Turkic world is playing an increasingly important role in global politics. We are at the beginning of a long path that will shape our destiny."
